Last night, Jerry Seinfeld was on The Tonight Show, with Jay Leno. When asked if he liked Twitter, he responded, sarcastically, "Sure. Why say something meaningful to a few people when you could say practically nothing to everyone."

When I was a kid, there were four bowl games, all played on New Year's Day. If memory serves me correctly, they were the Rose Bowl (the granddaddy of them all), the Cotton Bowl, the Sugar Bowl, and the Orange Bowl. I really enjoyed the Orange Bowl at the end of the day. It always seemed to be a great game.

Today, as most days, I went to the Subway by the Orem Library for lunch. I ordered a six-inch ham on wheat. It has 390 calories. No chips. Diet Coke. Not bad from a calorie count perspective.

Yesterday was Fast and Testimony Meeting in our Heatheridge 9th Ward. As usual, it was a wonderful meeting. The testimonies were inspiring, heartfelt, and appropriately stated. But one brief testimony really stood out.

A short time ago, I wrote about an interaction I had with my son, Michael, who will soon turn 19 and go on his mission. I had indicated that I intended to "load up" a debit card for him in case he finds himself without sufficient food--and, so he could treat his companion from time to time and take a taxi if necessary late at night.

It's fall, my favorite time of the year. I think October is the best month in Utah. Perfect weather--warm (but not too warm) in the day and chilly in the evening and early morning. And the holidays (Halloween, yes Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) to look forward to.
